'I am writing a design reference on behalf of Alexander William Connatty. I recently hired Alexander to come in last minute when our designer left the project quite abruptly with 48 hours until our first preview. Alex built two costumes, one distressed and the other quite detailed with hand embroidery and beadwork, along with two headpieces for the lead characters within 24 hours. The costumes were constructed to amazing standard, given the short period of notice Alex had.

On top of which he finished off 7 more costumes left incomplete by the previous designer. He really has been praised as the hero of our production team, without him the show would not have opened on time.

Alex is a joy to work alongside. He is charismatic and friendly. His smile and sense of humour is infectious. We have enjoyed spending time knowing him in and outside of work.

He has a keen eye to detail, and his ideas are abundant. He really spends the time to make sure the small details matter and are unique. He worked alongside one of our lead actors to bring the actors character ideas to life.

Alex would make a great passionate addition to any production, I have been honoured to work with him.
